Mian Kausar Hameed is Master in Business Administration from the renowned Institute of Business Administration, Karachi. After completing his education he worked in different organizations and held the following positions:

1. 1970-74, Regional Manager, Mogul Tobacco Co and Hasham Group of Companies – based in Lahore
2. 1974-1980, Managing Director, Native Enterprises (Pvt.) Ltd, an export house and manufacturer of handicraft and Hand knotted woolen carpets. Attended International exhibitions in Europe.
3. 1980-1998, Chief Executive Officer (CEO), Native Enterprises (Pvt.) Ltd, manufacturing electronics products in collaboration with Companies in Japan, Korea and Taiwan. Attended several electronic exhibitions in the Far East.
4. 1980-2002, Online consultant with private organizations, organized training and teaching programs.
5. 2002-2005, Resident Director, Pakistan, International Business and Technical Consultant Incorporated, USA (IBTCI) an International Consulting Company, doing projects with the Asian Bank, World Bank, USAID and other donors, based in Lahore.
6. 2006 to date, he is Chief Operating Officer in Dewan Mushtaq Group as Head of Sugar Operations, controlling 4 sugar mills in Dist. Thatta and Badin in Sindh, a Chip Board factory, PP bags making Plant and a Distillery unit producing Fuel Ethanol. Addressed two International Conferences, the Asian Sugar Conference 2006 and the World Sugar Conference 2006. Is a member of PSMA Sindh Executive Committee, 2006-2008.

Besides working in the above organizations, he remained associated with teaching, training and research work at different institutions and taught Marketing and Management. He also worked as consultant and developed marketing strategies for tobacco, sugar, engineering, banking and food industries. Capacity Building and Human Resource development was a specialty. He also worked as consultant on SME Policy for SMEDA under the aegis of ADB.
He also possesses 22 years experience of manufacturing electronic products and has visited several foreign manufacturing companies in Korea and Japan.
He is member of various Clubs and Associations and is also a keen social worker and Golfer. He has traveled extensively within and outside Pakistan and visited 39 countries in USA, Europe, Middle East and Central Asian States.
He is also a “Certified Director” on the panel of Pakistan Institute of Corporate Governance (PICG).
