Mr.
Sikandar Hayat Jamali is a retired Government
Servant. He did his Senior Cambridge from
St. Francis Grammar School Quetta, and Higher
Senior Cambridge from Aitchison College Lahore
and graduated from Government College Lahore.
He is M.A in History (Gold Medalist) from
the Punjab University and M.A in Public Policy
and Administration from the University of
Wisconsin (USA). He is also M.A in Area Studies
(Middle East and North Africa) from the University
of London. He also attended training course
on Public Expenditure with the IMF, Higher
Management Course with the Royal Institute
of Public Administration (RIPA) London and
long courses at National Institute of Public
Administration (NIPA) Karachi and Pakistan
Administrative Staff College (PASC) Lahore.
He joined the Civil Services of Pakistan in
1966. He has served in various coveted positions
with the provincial Government of Balochistan
such as, Deputy Secretary (Finance), Secretary
(Education), Member (Board of Revenue) and
Chief Secretary. With the Federal Government,
he has served as Deputy Secretary (Information),
Joint Secretary (Establishment Division),
Chief Executive Officer (RDFC), Joint Secretary
(Economic Affairs Division), Member (Planning
Commission), Secretary (Education), Secretary
(Environment and Local Government) and Secretary
(Parliamentary Affairs) from where he retired
in 2003. He has widely traveled all over the
world.
Presently
he is also Director on the Board of OGDC,
Member, National Public Safety Commission.
He is member of Iqbal Academy and Vice-President
Balochistan Citizens Forum and member Senate
Pakistan Institute of Development Economics
(PIDE).
